The Friday club meets at the Grange Church Hall, Circuit Lane, Southcote, RG30 3HE

Friday focuses on teaching beginners with some tips for more experienced dancers.

Everyone is welcome and the more advanced dancers help the beginners to learn.

You do not need to come with a partner.

The  club was founded by Terry Pine in 1989.

There are two sessions held on a Friday.   Between 7:45 pm and 8:15 pm the session is for learning Plus, and from 8:15 pm to 10:15 pm  the session  is for Beginners and Mainstream.

Each period of dancing is known as a “tip” and lasts about 15 minutes.

A tip comprises three parts: the “workshop” where moves are explained and walked through; practice those moves set to music; and finally a singing call' where the same moves are integrated into a well known lyric resulting in an enjoyable dance.

The basic and advanced tips alternate during the evening with a 15 minute break for tea or coffee and for dues to be paid.
